Sonnet 1
As we gaze into the setting sun,
this wonderous day is coming to a close.
I look to my left to see you sitting
and forgotten are my tumultuous woes.
With eyes fixed upon the waves,
caressing the grains of sand,
you slowly turn to look at me,
and I gently take thine hand.
This love hath not been simple,
nor easy for a time-
but eternity would I sacrifice
just to be with my divine.
I plan to spend my life with thee
for nothing on this earth shall suffice.
